Strike-Out Tag Challenge

Hello everybody! How is your day going? I’m pretty good! Glad it’s almost the weekend! πŸ˜ƒ

Today, I’m here with a tag I was nominated for by Victoria and Isabelle, BetsyJane, and Maggie! Thanks to all of you! ☺ This looks like a really fun tag!

Okay, let’s get straight into it!

Kissed someone – Nope.

Gone to a rock concert – I went to a concert once with different Christain singers and bands! It was super fun! They had Skillet there, so I think that could count as a rock concert!

Helped someone – Yup!

Gone fishing – I have a few times with my family, but I don’t particularly like fishing. I think that it’s just sort of boring, and I never end up catching anything.

Watched four movies in one night – I don’t think so. Maybe four movies in one day, but not in one night.

Lied to someone – Yeah, sadly.

Failed a subject – No, I haven’t. I’ve done badly on some of my school, but I don’t think that I’ve failed a whole subject before.

Been in a car accident – When I was pretty little, a car hit ours. We were all okay.

Been in a tsunami – Thankfully, no.

Watched someone die (including pets) – I don’t think so.

Been to a funeral – Again, I don’t think so. At least not that I remember. Maybe when I was little, though.

Burned yourself – Yes. I love baking, so getting burned is always a risk there.

Run a marathon – No, but I think that I want to someday.

Spend over 10,000 bucks in one day – Nope!

Flown on an aeroplane – Airplane? I went on one of those small planes once. But, I don’t know if it counts.

Written a 18 page letter (front & back) – No…I can only imagine how much my wrist would hurt after writing that much!

Gone skiing – We don’t travel a lot, so I’ve never really had an opportunity to. I think it sounds fun, though.

Lost someone you loved – Not really.

Got into trouble for something you didn’t do – I do have siblings, so…

Stolen a book from a library – I don’t think so.

Gone to a different country – No, but I hope to go to Europe someday! I think that Paris and Italy would be nice places to visit! Ireland, too!

Gambled in a casino – No.

Been in a school play – I’m homeschooled, so no. Unless the plays my siblings and I wrote and did when we were younger counts…

Taken a lie detector test – Never, but I think it would be interesting.

Voted for someone on a reality TV show – No.

Read more than 20 books a year – Yes! I love reading!

Gone to Europe – No, but as I said, I hope to someday! It would just be really fun, I think!

Had a surgery – No.

Had stitches – Nope. Once, I sliced my finger open with a knife, and it was almost bad enough to get stitches, but not quite.

Ridden a tuk-tuk (autorickshaw) – Let me look up what that is real quick…uh, nope, I haven’t. It does look sort of fun, though.

Had more than 5 IM conversations going on at once – Like, texting? No, I don’t think so.

Been in a fist fight – I feel like there were some fights I had with my siblings when I was younger, but I don’t know if those could be considered fist fights.

Had a pet – Yes! I had a bunny named Mae when I was younger, and now I have a cat named Luna.

Petted a wild animal – Yeah, I think so.

Had your own credit card & bought something with it – Not yet.

Dyed your hair – I dyed the tips of my hair with Kool-Aid a few times! It actually showed up real well.

Got a tattoo – No.

Had something pierced – I got my ears pierced a couple times.

Got a straight A – πŸ‘

Taken pictures with a webcam – No, I haven’t.

Gone to sleep with music on – Yep! I like listening to something while I go to sleep, whether it’s an audiobook or music!

Nominations: Heidi, Addie, and Raegan! If any of you don’t want to do it, already did it, or are tag free, sorry for bothering you!

Thank you for reading! How many of these things have you done? I’d love to chat in the comments!

I hope everyone has a good rest of their week, and I’ll see you guys on Monday with a new post! Bye!!

– Something unique about me –

Maybe my ability to sympathize with people, and relate to them, even if I’ve never gone through the same things as them.

– Maggie’s questions –

What’s the last blog post idea you had?

The last blog post idea I had was doing a series about the book I’m currently writing once I finish the first draft! Is that something y’all would like to see? I would post probably every day for a week, with different posts relating to the contemporary novel!

What are your top 5 favorite desserts?

My favorite is definitely ice cream, but my other four are cheesecake (homemade especially!!), ice cream cake, brownies, and s’mores!!

Where would you love to travel?

What’s the last app you used on your phone?

I actually don’t have a phone. I just use one of the computers I share with my siblings a lot, and my sister sometimes lets me use her phone too. I am currently using the WordPress app!

Do you like collecting stickers?

Not really.

If you could receive one present right now, what would you like for someone to give you?

Hmmm…there’s not really anything that I really need. Maybe some Coboo yarn, because I’ve really been wanting to crochet a top with it, and I don’t have any on hand right now. Or more Kasie West books!

Coffee or tea?

Favorite animal to see at the zoo?

I like seeing all of them, but the elephants and giraffes are some of my favorites!

How long into the future do you see yourself blogging?

I hope to continue blogging through highschool, maybe also when I’m older, but I say highschool because I don’t know if I’ll have the time if I go to college and everything.

– I nominate –

Five Things I Love About Me

My dedication. I am usually pretty dedicated and committed to something once I set my mind to it!

My running ability. Even though I am not the fastest, and I can’t run for a really long time, I still love that I’m able to run! When I first started running, I never thought I would be able to run five miles straight, but here I am! I’m really proud of my running journey so far!

My hair. I like how my hair is. It’s not too thin or thick, and I also love the color!

My ability to understand math. I know some people who don’t do well at math at all, and really struggle with it. I have never found it very hard, and I understand it pretty well and sometimes I even like it!

My organization. I usually can’t stand a messy room, and I love to organize! I think that I’m pretty good at it too, and that’s just something I love about myself!

The Questions

What are a few things you’re insecure about? Maybe my acne. It’s not that bad, but it has gotten worse recently. My brothers always point it out, and stuff, so I feel a little insecure about it. Also, maybe just my awkwardness when talking to people.

What are some things you accomplished recently? I finished the first draft of a dystopian book I’m writing! I’m so proud of it because it’s a book I’ve been working on for years. I just had to push myself to finish it!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I’d probably say my shyness and awkwardness when talking to people I don’t know well. It might not seem like it on here, but in real life, I’m a total introvert. If I could change anything I’d probably say not to be as shy and awkward in talking to people.

If you could create your dream wardrobe, what would you wear? My favorite types of clothing are athletic/sporty types of clothes! My closet would be filled with shorts, athletic shirts, cute summer dresses, tennis shoes, and hoodies!

What’s a unique/secret skill you have? I don’t really know…

How do you have a positive impact on others? I think that blogging and spreading positivity can really have a good impact on people, especially sharing the things that I love with everyone!

And, you!

────── β™‘ ──────

Thank you so much for reading! And, thanks again, Sophia for nominating me! I hope everyone has a great rest of their week! Bye!

Doing the “Know Your Buddy Tag” With Raegan

Hello! Today, I’m here with a blog collab! πŸ˜ƒ This is my first time ever doing one!! I got tagged by Rajonya to do the “Know Your Buddy Tag”, so thanks, Rajonya! (Here’s her post!)

I then asked Raegan if she wanted to do it, and she said yes!! So, I’m really excited about today’s post!!

The answers to the questions are Raegans. You can see what I answered to each question over on her blog, so make sure to go check that out!

  • Tag the original creators of this tag – Tallblondetales and Proxywords β€“ and tag the original posts from each of their blogs. If you do, you’ll be eligible for the roundup post and grand β€˜Know Your Buddy’ tag winner! If not, you can still take part in the tag you just won’t be a contender for the overall winner.
  • Thank the bloggers who nominated you (and your buddy), share the badge and rules in your post.
  • Pick a blogger with whom you’d like to do this tag with, answer the questions together, and share each other’s answers on both the blogs.
  • Nominate 10 new Bloggers and keep spreading the love.
  • Notify the bloggers (tell them you nominated them) by commenting on one of their posts.

Raegan’s Answers

1: What is your favorite blog post of mine and why? I love looking at people’s different aesthetics that they design.

2: What would you like to be known for: your name, or your blog name?

Giving out useful information and just fun posts to read.

3: What is the weirdest comment you’ve ever gotten on your blog?

I got one comment that said, “I LOVE DOGS?” Which I thought was interesting. But that person who sent that said a lot of other weird creepy stuff.

4: Do you think cereal is soup? Why or why not?

I do not think it is because when I think of a soup I think of something much more savory. If you do think it is a soup I am fine with that I would not be offended.

5: If you had a controller to rewind or fast forward your blog, which would it be?

6: If you two were to be buddy characters in a movie, which characters would you be and why?

I would probably be whichever character is sarcastic because I like to write sarcastically.

7: What is the most boring part of posting blog posts for you, or what part of posting a blog are you laziest about?

Probably just trying to start writing a post. Once I start I can just keep writing but it takes me a little while to actually start the writing process, lol.

8: If you could transform into any animal, what would it be and why?

A horse. Because they are pretty and strong.

9: If your blog had a superpower or magical element, what would it be?

To transform into any animal.

10: If you were given the power to exchange blogs for a day, which things would you change or adapt first?

Probably nothing.

And, anyone else who is wanting to do it!! (I know this isn’t ten people, but I couldn’t find enough people to nominate!!)

(If I tagged you, and you don’t want to do it/already did it/are tag-free, sorry I bothered you!)

────── β™‘ ──────

Thanks again, Raegan, for doing this with me! I had a lot of fun!! Everyone, make sure to go check out her blog; she has a lot of amazing posts and great photography! Thanks for reading, and have an awesome day!! Bye!

The Sunshine Blogger Award (#2)

Hey everyone!! I hope you’re all having a good week so far! πŸ˜ƒ

A little while ago, The Pastel Bicycle nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award and now, I’m finally getting around to doing it!! I already did this award before, but I’m excited to be doing it again! Here’s the link to the original post I did, in case you wanted to check that out!

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new bloggers to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog

The Questions:

1. Would you rather never be tired, or never be hungry?

I think that both would be bad: if you were never tired, you might not get enough sleep, but if you were never hungry, you might not eat enough. I’d choose never to be hungry because I think that I’d still eat, but if I didn’t get tired, I might not get enough sleep.

2. Have you ever eaten a cannoli?

No, I haven’t, but they look good!!

3. What do you think is the biggest problem in the world today?

There are a lot of problems right now (there are a lot of good things too) and I don’t really know what the biggest one is.

4. Do you prefer being asked serious, thought-provoking questions, or fun ones?

Maybe the funner ones, but I like both!

5. Have you ever petted a donkey?

I don’t think so.

6. Which one do you find scarier, heights or spiders?

Heights! 😬

7. If had to pick one of your favorite foods to never eat again, which one would you pick?

One of my favorites?! This is a hard question! I don’t think I can choose one of my favorite foods to never have again!!

8. Savory or sweet?

I like both! Overall, I’d probably go with savory, but sometimes I’m more in the mood for sweet food, so it depends!

9. What is one food combination that you think shouldn’t taste good, but does?

Maybe cheese and jelly. They don’t seem like they’d be good together, but they really are. (Especially cheddar cheese and raspberry jam!)

10. Would you rather have a pet dragon or a pet unicorn?

I don’t really know.

11. Do you like cheese?

I know that a lot of bloggers have already done this award, so I’m just going to leave it at an open nomination!

My Questions

  1. What are a few words you’d use to describe yourself?
  2. Who is one of your favorite music artists?
  3. What’s a movie that always makes you cry?
  4. Would you rather live in a bigger city or in the country?
  5. What’s your dream job?
  6. Do you like doing awards and tags on your blog?
  7. What’s your favorite dessert?
  8. What are some of your hobbies?
  9. What’s your current favorite song?
  10. TV shows or movies?
  11. What’s your favorite pizza toppings?

────── β™‘ ──────

Thanks for reading! And thanks again, The Pastel Bicycle, for nominating me!! I had a lot of fun answering the questions!! ☺ I hope everyone has a good day, and a great rest of your week! Bye! See you guys on Saturday!

Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello! Today’s post is another one I got nominated for! Sophia nominated me for it; here’s her post! Thank you! Everyone should go check out her blog! She has some great posts!

I’m also going to answer the questions from Lydia! She left it at an open nomination, so I decided to do those too! Here’s the link to Lydia’s post! It has a lot of great nominations and essays!

Sophia’s Questions

#1: What’s your favorite color and why?

I love light blue! It’s just so calming. I also like most pastel colors too!

#2: What’s your Hogwarts house (if you know)?

I’ve never read or watched it, so I don’t know.

#3: What’s your favorite book and why?

I have so many! But my favorite may be “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins or “An Ember in the Ashes” by Sabaa Tahir. They both have such good characters and they are great stories. (They are also both very sad!!!) I also like “Lovely war” by Julie Berry, which is historical fiction.

#4: How would you spend the last day of your life?

If I knew I only had one more day to live, I would probably want to spend it with family and friends. I would want them to all know how much I loved them.

#5: Favorite singer and one of their best songs (in your opinion)?

I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift. One of my favorite songs of hers is Enchanted, but I also like The Best Day!

#6: Your opinion on aesthetics?

I like making aesthetics and looking at other people’s! I especially like book ones or bedroom aesthetics!

#7: What do you think about true love?

I think that true love is real. πŸ’–

#8: Favorite season of the year?

I love summer because I love swimming, and hate running in the cold weather, but I’m still ready for the nice autumn weather! πŸ‚

#9: Favorite candy/sweet?

I like most chocolate candy bars, especially heath bars!

#10: Favorite holiday and why?

Just like Lydia, I love Christmas! I love getting up early and the tree is so pretty. It would be even better if it snowed here, but even without snow, it’s so magical! πŸŽ„β„οΈ

#11: What’s something about you that you think is interesting?

I think that crocheting is interesting. Not many kids or teenagers like to crochet, so when I’m crocheting out in public, people always comment on it!

Lydia’s Questions

1 . What do you want to do when you grow up?

I want to be a nurse, and probably get married and have kids.

2 . Favorite movie?

That’s hard! I love the Hunger Games series, but I also like I’m Not Ashamed.

3 . Favorite school subject?

I like English because I love writing, but I also like math!

4 . Favorite book genre?

Nooooooo! I don’t know if I can choose! I love a lot of genres (contemporary, fantasy, dystopian, historical fiction)!!! But maybe I’d choose contemporary if I have to pick one.

5 . What book do you think would make a good movie?

I think that the Ember in the Ashes series would make such good movies! I can just picture all the scenes, and it’s one of my favorite books!

6 . What’s an underrated book you think everyone should read?

I think that there are a lot, but probably the Ruta Sepetys books (Salt to the Sea, and Between Shades of Grey). I never really hear about them and they have such amazing stories. They are both set during WW2, and they are both about events not many people know of. I also think that Salt to the Sea would make an amazing movie.

7 . What’s a popular book that you did not like? (If you have one)

I don’t really think there are any. Maybe I’d say the Divergent or Twilight series, though I didn’t hate any of them. I just didn’t really like them much.

8 . If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

It would be very nice to travel to Paris or Italy!

9 . Cats or dogs?

I love both cats and dogs! There isn’t a specific one I like more. I do have a cat though.

10 . Favorite hobby?

I love crocheting, but also reading and writing…I can’t choose! πŸ˜…

11 . If you could change one thing in your country, what would you change?

Maybe elect better leaders and people in the government.

My nominations

I definitely don’t know enough people with blogs to nominate!

1: Sophie Neudorf

2: Rae-Rae’s Blogs

The Cookie Lover Award! πŸͺ

Hey everybody, hope you’re having a wonderful day! For this post, I’m going to be doing the Cookie Lover Award. Thanks for nominating me Rae-rae’s blogs; go check her blog out out! Here’s her post!

  • Thank the person/fellow cookie lover who nominated you! (or whose blog you found out about this award through)
  • Answer the cookie-related questions and add one of your own!
  • Share some pictures of cookies you adore! (can be pics you’ve taken or ones from online, just be sure to give credit where credit is due.)
  • Nominate 5 or more bloggers who love cookies and leave an open nomination for every cookie lover around the world!

1. What are your top three favourite types of cookies?

I love thin mints! My other two favorites are shortbread cookies and macarons! Also, you should try gluten free oreos (for some reason, they’re better than regular ones.)

2. What’s a cookie you haven’t tried yet but REALLY want to?

I don’t really know. Maybe sandies. I think I had them before, but I don’t really remember how they tasted. They look very good with the pecans!

3. What’s the last type of cookie you ate?

I had some chocolate chip cookies. They were the chips ahoy ones. I hate chewy chocolate chip cookies, but the crunchy ones are so good!

4. If you were a cookie, which kind would you be and why? (i.e. chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, macaroon, peanut butter, etc)

I don’t really know. I’ve never really thought about it before. πŸ˜‚ Maybe thin mints because they’re my favorite. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

5. Why do you love cookies?

I like cookies because there are a lot of varieties to try and they can all be very different. There can be chewy ones, crunchy ones, ones with nuts, chocolate, or toffee/caramel, and many more variations. There can be so many different flavors too!

Rachel’s question: What do you like most about cookies?

It’s kind of the same answer as the last question. I like them most because they can all be so different.

Some macarons my sister and I made a little while ago (sorry for the bad picture.)

The rest are ones I found on the internet. If you push on the picture, it’ll take you to the recipe!

These are some of the easiest and yummiest sugar cookies I’ve ever made. They are so delicious and buttery!
I love shortbread cookies! They’re so buttery and delicious!
I’ve never made these homemade thin mints, but they look so good! Yum!

My question is: What’s your favorite cookie to make homemade?

I nominate: Lydia! And you, if you love cookies and want to do this award!

So, thanks for reading this post! I hope you have a great day! ❀️
