Books I Want to Finish Before the New Year

Hi! Welcome (or welcome back) to my blog!!! Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys all of the books I want to finish before 2022! Well, let’s just get right into it!

The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien

I read the first Lord of the Rings book (The Fellowship of the Ring) last month, in October! It took me a while to read, but I really liked it! I’m currently reading The Two Towers, and before 2022, I want to try to finish the second and read the third!

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Hobbit is a companion novel to the Lord of the Rings series. I am wanting to read it after I finish The Return of the King!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I already read The Book Thief back in February, but I want to re-read it! I remember being so sad at the ending. Also, last time I read it, I took a long time to finish it, so there are a lot of parts I can’t really remember, so I want to read it again this year!

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I want to read this book this Christmas. I remember listening to this book before, but I don’t really remember it much. I have watched the movie before, so I know the story. But after reading A Tale of Two Cities, I really liked Charles Dicken’s writing, so I want to try and read this book this Christmas!!!

Messenger and Son by Lois Lowry

I read both The Giver and Gathering Blue this year, so I want to finish the quartet this year by reading both Messenger and Son. I really like these books. They are all so different, but great. I’m really hoping to at least read one of them in 2021.

Conclusion!

This was my first year keeping track of all the books I’ve read, and my goal was to read 52 books. I really underestimated how much I read, because I’ve read 86 books already! I am now aiming to read at least 90 books before the end of December.

I think that I can do it because I only have four more books to read then, but I am probably going to have a busy month in December with getting ready for Christmas, and maybe visiting family.
