Hello! I hope you had a great month! It’s now November! I had a pretty good, if not busy, October. In most of my Monthly Wrap Up posts, I list all the books I’ve read and a short description of each, and updates on writing, crochet, running, and some other random things. I’m still going to do that, but I’m also going to add a section for posts I made, and any good pictures I took.
Books
I did not get that many books read this month. That’s because I was reading The fellowship of the ring which was kind of slow. Anyways, here are the books:
- The people of sparks by Jeanne DuPRAU is the second book in the city of ember series. It is a children’s series, but I think that they are pretty good. The people from the city of ember have found out that they were living underground, and they emerge into the outside world. They go to the city of sparks. But there are some in the city of sparks that don’t want the people from Ember there. 5/5 stars!
- Scars like wings by Erin Stewart is one I re-read. I read it last year, so I thought that I should read it again. It’s about a girl who survived a house fire. But her parents and cousin died. She is living with her aunt and uncles. Her doctor tells her she should go back to school, and this book just tells about her struggles. 5/5 stars!
- A bus of my own by Jim Lehrer is an autobiography. I had to read it for my ninth grade English class. I actually liked it a lot. It had good writing and really lively stories. 4.5/5 stars!
- The fellowship of the ring by JRR Tolkien. I watched the movies of this series, and I liked them well enough. This book follows a lot of characters, including: Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, and a lot of others, most of them comming along later in the book. Frodo’s uncle, Bilbo, found a ring which was created by The Dark Lord, and it contains a lot of power. Bilbo gave the ring to Frodo, and he has to make a long journey across Middle Earth. 5/5 stars!
Writing
I didn’t get much writing done either, but I have 51,629 words all together in my dystopian novel! I have an idea for a contemporary novel, but I haven’t written any of it yet. I also started to write another book with my sister, which is a fantasy one.
Crochet
I got quite a few things done. Just some small things. I love the little pumpkins, which I actually have a pattern for here!
Running
I haven’t run that much this month, but I did get some new running shoes and I’m starting to run more again!

Pictures

This sunset was so pretty! It doesn’t look as good in the photo as it did in real life.

Okay, I hope you’re having a great day! Bye!
